Group synergies were exploited from
the initial design phase through to final
completion of the production system
developed and constructed by
SCHERDEL to ensure cost optimisation
for all end customers. Another member
of the SCHERDEL

AFEMA Au-
tomatisierungs- und Steuerungstechnik
GmbH, carried out the software and
electronic engineering services. The re-
quired interchangable tool systems
were produced by the SCHERDEL sub-
sidiary PERFEKTION Maschinenbau
GmbH.
The new system allows the production
of more than ten different assemblies.
Delivery of all the required individual
components also takes place group in-
ternally. The stamped components
come from the SCHERDEL production
factory in Waldershof, while the DFTR
factory in Roeslau produces the neces-
sary compression springs. SCHERDEL
employees in the assembly technology
division in Friedau displayed an excep-
tional level of commitment and flexibility
in the period between the planning and
construction of the new system. Thanks
to their willingness to work to a 20-shift
model, we were able to prevent any
supply delays for our customers.

ZARIAN develops, designs and pro-
duces bespoke machines and sys-
tems for the fitting and assembly tech-
nology. The machines and systems
are tailored to the individual needs
and products of customers. ZARIANʼs
range of services includes customer
training courses and a first class after-
sales service. In close collaboration
with the customer ʻFriedauʼ, ZARIAN
developed all-encompassing require-
ment specifications for the described
spring pack assembly system. These
specifications were the foundation for
the concept, planning, development
and construction of the system.
Arrangement of the feeding, joining
and testing process steps around a
centrally positioned rotary index table
was an integral part of the solution.
