“Supplier of the Year”
ach year the Continental Automo-
tive Group honours its best suppli-
ers. In 2013, the SCHERDEL
Group
re-
ceived an award in the category “Best
Performance within Category Stamp-
ing”. The awards ceremony was held in
Prague in front of 350 guests. Dr. Elmar
Degenhart, CEO Continental, presented
the award to Maximilian von Walden-
fels, Managing Director SCHERDEL,
and Alexander Kapsch, Head of Sales
and Marketing.
A total of sixteen suppliers were re-
warded for their services in various cat-
egories. The Continental Automotive
Group systematically evaluated the per-
formance of its 1000 strategic suppliers
according to various criteria, such as
quality, technology and logistics ser-
vices. Premium suppliers can be as-
sured that they are the leading manu-
facturers of components and assem-
blies in their field.
Dr. Elmar Degenhart, CEO Continen-
tal, emphasised the special significance
of close cooperation between first tier
suppliers and suppliers further down
the chain. Innovative products based on
a high level of expertise are required, in
particular during the early development
stage. SCHERDEL’s management
team feels this statement reinforces its
overall strategy. Besides investing ex-
tensively in the infrastructure, the
Group also puts an enormous amount
of effort into research and development.
SCHERDEL not only provides its cus-
tomers with durable and long-lasting
products, but also delivers state-of-the-
art developments.
